The above photo taken by the author of this website has been chosen for its allegorical character. It depicts air, land and water, as well as the sun - the main source of our planet's energy. It also shows a silhouette of man's contribution to the environment in the form of houses, the chimneys of a power station and a large municipal gas tank. The photo features on the front cover of the report on sulphur dioxide by the Expert Panel on Air Quality Standards.
