    The standard treatment for asthma consists of inhaled steroids, with oral steroid supplementation if the inhaled steroids alone do not prove adequate. In addition Beta agonists by inhalation and sometimes orally as well are prescribed. 

    She responded quite well to this fairly standard regimen.
